- Favorable Conditions: High temperatures with drought will bring on the disease, but it can spread quickly in wet, warm weather. Will generally occur when the leaf is aging (senescence)
- Hosts:Creeping Bentgrass, colonial bentgrass, velvet bentgrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua), bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon), Tall Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, St. Augustinegrass, zoysiagrass, fine fescues
- Symptoms: The grass will look thin and there may be yellow and green lesions. A dark brown mycelium will occur along the tissue
