  • Favorable Conditions: Prolonged periods of cool, wet weather. The presence of fog is favorable for disease development


  • Hosts: Kentucky bluegrass, Poa annua, creeping bentgrass, velvet bentgrass, colonial bentgrass, perennial ryegrass, fine fescues, tall fescue


  • Symptoms: Microdochium patch may vary in appearance depending on the presence or absence of snow cover. Without snow cover the patches may appear a reddish-brown color. If moisture is present the symptoms may appear as reddish-brown streaks. Under snow the patches may appear a grayish color with a pinkish border.
