- Favorable Conditions: cool, wet, humid conditions will cause the discharge of swarm cells, warm, wet, overcast conditions will result in movement of plasmodia onto sheaths and leaves, abudant thatch
- Hosts:Creeping Bentgrass, colonial bentgrass, velvet bentgrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua), bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon), Tall Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, St. Augustinegrass, zoysiagrass, fine fescues
- Symptoms: Cicurlar or irregular patches 8"-2' (2-60 cm) in diameter, pin cushion-shaped sporangia that are white, yellow, gray, or purplish brown, if mold is heavy some yellowing of the rass can occur
