Climatic zone lying approximately between 20 and 40 degrees north and south latitude where at least 8 months out of the year average above 50 F (10 C). Occasional frost can occur. Generally, warm season turfgrasses are grown in this area, but a few heat tolerant cool season grasses maybe grown.
