Climatic zone that is humid, frost free in continental locations, and in marine areas 65 F (19 C) average for the coolest month. Generally tropical areas are within the 20 degree north and south latitudes with the equator located centrally. Tropical climates occur in South America, Africa, northern Australia, southern Asia, and the tip of southern Floridan in North America. Warm season turfgrasses are primarily used in this climatic zone.
